For this review, we had the pleasure of receiving the Thinking of You Personalized Charm, made from .925 sterling silver. Each heart shaped charm features up to three lines of engraving on each side (one line in your choice of text included in the price).
This charm also comes with an affirmation disk with 7 different phrases to chose from. Our charm has the disk which says “Angel”, with my daughter’s name engraved on the heart. We chose the script font for our charm, and it looks absolutely beautiful. Birthstones may also be added to the charm to give it a more personalized touch.
In addition the font, engravement, birthstone, and disk, you also have the option of which kind of chain you’d like the charm to be on. This includes both bracelets and necklaces for adults and children. Our charm came with the pink satin 16″, since it was to be a gift for my daughter (her favorite color being pink). Silver and black chains are also available.
I was very impressed with how the necklace came. The silver charm was wrapped in anti-tarnish tissue paper, and the entire necklace placed in a small black velveteen pouch with the company name and logo embossed in gold foil. A personal note card was attached.
Also in the bag was a complimentary polishing pad, which I thought was a very nice touch. A piece of jewelry this special needs we want to take very good care of, so they’ve gone the extra mile to make it easier to do.

Read to your child, as well as have fun playing on the computer with their own personal Storybook CD!
In addition to personalized books, Ann’s Personalized Books also offers a new and unique line called Storybook CDs. Each CD features a personalized story with your child and their friends. My 5 year old son and I were VERY impressed with this CD, since it combinds reading skills and play.
What makes it most unique, is the ability to “play” in between pages. After you read one page, your child can click on pictures on the screen and make them come to life. This keeps them interested in the story and wanting to see more! Each page has lots to click on - you could possibly go through the story many times and still find something new to click on each time.
After you are done with the story, there is also a section for fun games. My son love memory type games, and had fun matching up pictures from the story. We didn’t have a whole lot of time to play today, but I know this CD will keep him occupied for hours with or without me.
The CD we got was “Too Many Monsters”, which at first I was afraid was a bit too scary for my 5yr old. While some noises made him jump a bit, he was laughing the whole time at the funny looking monsters and funny things they did in the story.
Each CD can be read and previewed before purchasing, to see where and how your child’s name is used in the story. Once you decide on a CD, the first step in the ordering process is filling out their very detailed form for personalizing the book.
Storybook CDs come with the following personalization:

- Friends name (1-3, depending on book)
- Child’s age
- Dedication (example: “From Mom”)

Sometimes we just want to show off our kid’s artwork to the world. Well, or at least every family member and friend. My Little Rembrandt has found a way to do just that.
I was impressed at how quickly Lisa, owner of My Little Rembrandt, worked on my project. I was first instructed to scan or mail a copy of art or by one of my children. Since my son has more artwork than my daughter, I went with a project she did with Easter eggs last spring and emailed a scanned copy off to her. Within the day she had a proof ready for me to view, and once approved the cards were shipped the next day. (I was sent a confirmation the items shipped.) The post office took longer than she did getting these cards to me!
Tuesday afternoon we went to the post office to pick up our small package, and I was thrilled. My daughter (age 3 now, 2 when the art was done) had made professional looking cards! All packed up nicely in a cute gift bag, ready to give as a gift or to use for myself. The picture looks fantastic even scanned, and helpful tips posted on Lisa’s website for nice looking pictures came in handy. Printed on the back of the card in small print says “Easter Egg Artwork by Jillian, age 2, 2005″. Perfect! I think we’ll be using these as Thank You cards all year around since it’s such a nice picture on the front.
I was given the unique opportunity to also view other examples of notecards My Little Rembrandt. Some examples sent to me included:

- Party Invitation
All of course designed by children, making them extra special. Every design was so clear, it was almost like the children had colored directly on the card itself! But it was, in fact, a scanned copy. Absolutely wonderful!
Also included in our gift bag aside from Jillian’s 10 cards were 11 envelopes. An extra one included “just in case”. A very small detail that can mean so much - very thoughtful! A set of 10 cards only costs $7.50, which is amazing for the amount of personalized detail put into them. Shipping is the same cost for clear up to 50 cards (5 sets), costing only $4.95. Over 50 cards and the shipping is free.
As mentioned before, I was most impressed with how quickly this project was done. While proof time and shipping times may vary, it was less than a week from the time I started working with Lisa until the cards were received. Should I need a project done quickly for a baby shower, party, or any other short-notice event, I know she wouldn’t take any time at all to complete it for me.
Lisa’s inspiration for this business came from her 6 children - ages 18 years to 15 months. These cards would be perfect for Valentine’s Day, Holidays, Thank You’s, Party Invitations, or just every day notecards. Forms of payment accepted are check or invoice via PayPal, although credit or debt card may be used without the need for a PayPal account.
