GracefulArts
Year Established: 2010
I have been sewing most of my life, and I love to create jewelry, papercraft, quilt, and learn new techniques and crafts. I opened my GracefulArts studio on the Artfire venue this past year, after a year on Etsy as UncommonTreasures. I love what I do! I love creating things of beauty. My tagline is “It’s all about color!” and truly, it is. The process of putting colors together in just the right way to become absolutely beautiful, no matter what the medium is, just thrills me!
My quilts are my original designs, the fabrics carefully chosen, sewn, and freemotion quilted. My jewelry is carefully crafted of glass, shell, stone, and metal beads from many different locations that I have traveled to.
With each piece, I have done my best to combine types and colors of beads to their best advantage. My baby blankets are sewn from double layers of thick cotton flannel and quilted together either by freemotion machine stitching, or by handstitching with embroidery floss. They are 40″ square, so are much larger than the average receiving blanket, and quite adequate in swaddling a baby.
I also make note cards and gift enclosure cards. I enjoy the art of papercrafting and, again, the combinations of color and texture.
Indeed, GracefulArts is All About Color!
